Shrink wrapped MagicShifter ;)
I worked very hard for many months to create the current 3D printed case for the MagicShifter and now it works quite well I have to say. It survives drops onto stone from 1.5m and protects the LEDs and the sensors from dust and splash water.

But t also has some drawbacks: You can't see the cute :) PCB design anymore and the status leds get dimmed by the case... So overflo had this brilliant idea to use shrink wrap as a minimal case for the shifters.

If you decide to use this kind of "case" you have to protect your shifter a little bit more than if you use the hard 3D printed case but it looks just awesome :)

Anlumo built a MagicShifter metronome !

The weekend of the Mendel90 assembly at Metalab was VERY productive. Andi built this awesome metronome for demoing the MagicShifter POV mode :)

This is a fully working lego prototype. We are working on making it a little bit larger to better simulate a human hand :)

Mathias with 12 MagicShifter :)
Thanks to the generous financial support of AWS
(Austria Wirtschaftsservice www.awsg.at/) we were able to hire Mathias
(who was before building Tesla Coils at Metalab where I met him ;)
to help us with the low level assembly and C coding of the MagicShifterOS

Check out the newest revisions at: bitbucket.org/wizard23/magicshifteros
(if more than 23 people beg me to switch to github I will but
personally I don't like the github monopoly
(don't get me wrong it's an awesome tool so thanx Linus
(the OS is cool but it still suxxx it could be soooo much betta, lol just kidding
it's awesome anyway;)

Enjoy the Source Code (If you find bugs please report them in bitbucket) and
print out your own MagicShifter case in ANY color you like :)

PS: SENT FROM (5EYS ONLY!!!11):

LAST CHANCE TO BUY MAGICSHIFTERS!

Our initial batch of 500 has shrunk below 99.
We will have to charge more!
Please note that this is not OUR decision!
to make sure the market works correctly
we are
forced by the market forces to increase the price to 128euros!!!11
Every member of society has to pay a price!
The banks need our money so we have to charge more.
Sorry guys :(
As I said our hands are tied...

BUT if you have access to a 3D printer you
can save more than 40€ by printing your own case :)
http://www.hackerspaceshop.com/magicshifter-3.html

I want to take some time to explain this mysterious, complicated market forces:
It will take us about 2-6 months to get the next round of fully assembled PCBs and we
are almost out of stock :( We just did not expect this many customers so we were a little unprepared for that but we are willing to learn ;)

greetings from the Future
